Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux  Community
Clean, Efficient Energy Source Subject of New SMSC Project
Prior Lake, Minnesota The Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community today announced plans for an innovative venture to generate electricity using leftover agricultural materials. This environmentally friendly project uses waste from malting and food processing to generate electricity. Considerably cleaner than a coal plant, this biomass generation project will some day be able to provide energy for all Community needs with excess available to sell to others.
