Southern Ute Indian Tribe grants $165K to local nonprofits

IGNACIO — The Southern Ute Indian Tribe has given more than $165,000 in grants to local organizations in less than two months and doesn’t plan to stop anytime soon.

"This is the way to show our appreciation and give back to the community," said Pearl Casias, tribal councilor and member of the tribe’s Donations Committee.
